Retail Pharmacist - Enola, Pennsylvania

A retail pharmacy position is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Newport, PA. This direct hire role offers a variable schedule including day and afternoon shifts, averaging 74 bi-weekly hours. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing pharmacy operations while providing excellent healthcare counseling and customer service.

Responsibilities include maintaining collaborative relationships with the store operations team to promote associate engagement and align departmental performance with business goals. You will ensure accuracy and compliance in filling prescriptions, conduct Drug Utilization Reviews, and perform final quality assurance consistent with state and federal regulations. Managing inventory, driving script growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and supervising pharmacy staff are essential duties.

This role requires directing and developing pharmacy associates to improve performance, reduce turnover, and control labor costs, while maintaining departmental security and resolving customer issues efficiently. Interaction with physicians and use of reference materials will be necessary for resolving prescription-related questions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy environment and managing cycle counts and inventory tasks.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D degree, possess a current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License, and have a valid Pennsylvania Immunization License. Attention to detail, leadership skills, and a customer-focused mindset are critical for success in this position.
