Emergency Medicine- UPMC Somerset-Competitive Salary

Our organization is actively looking for a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to become part of our dedicated team!

The Emergency Medicine Department delivers around-the-clock care through trained, board-certified emergency physicians. Our facility is supported by nursing staff who are certified in ACLS and PALS and have critical care training.

Emergency services at our locations encompass immediate interventions for medical or surgical crises, initiation of life-saving measures in various emergency scenarios, and management of chronic medical issues as well as minor ailments and injuries for patients across all age groups.

Position Overview:

• The physician will provide treatment to patients in the Emergency Room, ensuring accurate diagnosis and care for injuries and illnesses.
• The physician must assess a range of acuity levels, demonstrating the ability to think and act swiftly to formulate preliminary diagnoses and decide on suitable treatment plans.
• The physician will collaborate with other healthcare providers and emergency staff members as part of a cohesive team.
• Our organization prioritizes physician well-being, maintaining staffing ratios typically below two patients per hour.
• This is a Regular Full-Time position.
• Shifts available: All shifts.

Qualifications:

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Must be eligible for a medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
