What you’ll bring:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification (required)
• Experience supporting students in a school setting (preferred)
• Knowledge of best practices for psycho-educational assessment, intervention, and consultation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with teachers, administrators, parents, and students
• Dedication to providing culturally responsive care to diverse student populations
• Ability to manage confidential information and maintain compliance
• Capable of adapting to serve various schools and student caseloads as needed

Your responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive evaluations and write psycho-educational assessment reports
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor student plans
• Deliver direct and consultative services to support students’ academic and behavioral success
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise in eligibility determination and program planning
• Help build positive, inclusive school environments through staff consultation and student support strategies
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state standards

Additional requirements include successful completion of district-specific drug screen and fingerprinting before your start date. This contract covers the school academic year with the typical schedule of 35 hours per week, in alignment with the school calendar.
