UVA Specialty and Same Day Care Culpeper is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Primary Care Family Medicine.

    Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts

    Setting: Outpatient only

    Call: Rotating coverage

Requirements\n
    \n
  • \n

    Experience: At least 23 years as an Advanced Practice Provider

    • \n
  • \n

    Education: Graduate of accredited NP or PA program with Masters degree

    • \n
  • \n

    Licensure:

    \n
      \n
    • \n

      Licensed (or license-eligible) in Virginia as NP or PA

      • \n
    • \n

      If NP, must hold RN license in Virginia

      • \n
    • \n

      Current BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable

      • \n
    • \n
  • \n

    Must meet UVA Health System credentialing and board requirements

    • \n

What Youll Do\n
    \n
  • \n

    Provide patient assessment and management in outpatient primary care

    • \n
  • \n

    Perform physical exams, histories, and diagnostic evaluations

    • \n
  • \n

    Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other studies

    • \n
  • \n

    Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies per Virginia regulations

    • \n
  • \n

    Educate and support patients and families about diagnoses and care plans

    • \n
  • \n

    Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interprofessional care teams

    • \n
  • \n

    Participate in call coverage and patient follow-up

    • \n
  • \n

    Maintain compliance with UVA Health System policies and quality standards

    • \n
  • \n

    Stay current through continuing education and professional development

    • \n
\n

COMPENSATION

\n
    \n
  • During the first two years of employment, the provider will receive a tiered base salary plus a $10,000 guaranteed incentive.
    • \n
  • Following the completion of the two-year guarantee period, compensation will transition to a tiered base salary plus a wRVU-based incentive model.
    • \n
\n

Base salary is determined by years of APP experience:

    \n
  • 05 years of experience: $105,000 base salary
    • \n
  • More than 5 years up to 10 years of experience: $115,000 base salary
    • \n
  • More than 10 years of experience: $125,000 base salary
    • \n
\n
