Core Faculty OBGYN Position

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician to become a vital member of the core faculty within our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program. This program, primarily situated at the Willowbrook campus, accommodates five residents annually, totaling 20 over the course of the program. Additionally, Texas A&M Medical Students engage in rotations and contribute to the educational activities of our residents. Qualifications
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Prior experience in administrative roles and academic preceptorship within graduate medical education is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
  • Provide active leadership and oversight for the daily clinical needs of Obstetrics and Gynecology patients.
  • Engage in a combination of direct patient care, teaching, supervision of OBGYN residents, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Act as attending faculty in the residency continuity clinic, overseeing resident activities.
  • Foster an educational atmosphere that supports resident training across all ACGME competency areas.
  • Participate regularly in organized clinical discussions, rounds, journal clubs, and conferences.
  • Engage in scholarly activities and quality improvement initiatives alongside residents.
  • Share night and weekend on-call duties with fellow residency faculty and a local private practice OBGYN, with a minimum requirement of one 14-hour weekday and one 24-hour weekend call each month.
