Position Overview

The primary objective of this role is to execute the essential functions of nursing, which include assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care.

Essential Job Functions
  • Plan, prioritize, and deliver proficient nursing care that is age-specific and developmentally appropriate, utilizing advanced clinical knowledge and skills to ensure patient and family comfort and safety.
  • Implement physician orders in the provision of nursing care.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of all information and records at all times.
  • Comply with infection control protocols, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques during patient care delivery.
  • Collect laboratory samples and conduct lab tests following established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations.
  • Carry out admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for various diagnostic or treatment procedures in the specialty service area; perform or assist with procedures or treatments as needed.
  • Provide care in accordance with legal, hospital, departmental policies, and established nursing standards as defined by the state’s Board of Nursing.
Other Job Functions
  • Conduct all assigned Quality Assessment activities and document findings.
  • Participate in staff meetings or other company-sponsored meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma is required; BSN is preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU, or a combination of 2 years in related healthcare roles is required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross are required; PALS certification is strongly preferred (ENPC certification from ENA may substitute for PALS).
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required.
