Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a skilled pharmacist to manage a specialized retail HIV/AIDS pharmacy in a single-pharmacist setting. The role requires a high level of autonomy as there is no pharmacy technician support. The position offers comprehensive training alongside the current Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for two weeks before transitioning fully to the Winter Haven location.

Location:

  • Winter Haven, FL

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Duration:

  • 16-week contract, starting 8/24

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense 20-30 prescriptions daily independently without technician support
  • Provide exceptional patient care with strong communication tailored to HIV/AIDS patients
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate medication management and support
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, vital for uninterrupted pharmacy operations
  • Utilize pharmacy management software (QS1 preferred) to ensure accurate dispensing and record-keeping
  • Adhere to high standards of professionalism and a positive attitude within the workplace

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Florida pharmacist license required
  • Minimum of one year of retail pharmacy experience
  • Experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing is essential and must be highlighted on the resume
  • Proficiency with QS1 software preferred; candidates without experience will be asked during screening
  • Ability to work independently in a single-pharmacist environment with no technician assistance

Additional Notes:

  • No return to office (RTO) allowed during contract duration due to the single-pharmacist framework
  • Ongoing training and support available after the initial two-week training period
