Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license for New York
- Previous experience or strong interest in school-based OT, especially with early childhood or PreK
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Strong communication skills to connect with students, families, and educational teams
- Comfort with IEP documentation and compliance standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to a PreK caseload of learners ages 3-5, focusing on motor skill development, sensory integration, and functional school participation
- Conduct assessments and collaborate with teachers and related service providers to craft meaningful intervention strategies
- Monitor, record, and report student progress, making data-driven recommendations for continued growth
- Engage with families to support carryover of strategies at home and provide resources as needed
- Foster a nurturing, positive environment for early learners as they build a foundation for academic and social success
