Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and staff as a School Psychologist at two educational sites in the Bristol, CT area. Positions are available for dedicated professionals eager to make a positive impact within a collaborative, student-focused environment. This assignment offers a consistent 35-hour workweek and the chance to use your expertise in assessment, consultation, and direct support for learners from diverse backgrounds.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Connecticut School Psychologist license is required
- School-based experience in a similar setting preferred
- Strong skills in psychoeducational assessment, behavioral intervention, and consultation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting equity, inclusion, and student well-being
- Adaptability to work onsite and integrate with multi-disciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify student needs, learning profiles, and recommendations
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Provide consultation and counseling services to students, staff, and parents
- Contribute to crisis intervention and proactive mental health initiatives within the school
- Accurately document assessments, recommendations, and student progress
Opportunities include assignments at Bristol Central High School (August to March) and West Bristol School (October to January). Both roles are onsite and offer the fulfillment of helping shape positive school experiences for young people.
