Job Description

This contract opportunity involves providing school social work services to a caseload of approximately 40 students between two elementary schools and a preschool classroom, all within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker is required.
- Demonstrated experience providing direct social work services in school settings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to support diverse student populations.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive educational environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted social work interventions and strategies to help students overcome academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
- Work closely with educators, families, and administrators to develop and implement individualized plans that promote student well-being and academic success.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of student progress and services provided.
- Serve as a vital member of the school community, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide guidance and resources to staff and families to encourage student resilience and address barriers to learning.
This role runs from August 24, 2026, through May 14, 2027, offering steady weekly hours and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a caring educational community. The position is fully onsite and offers a chance to build lasting professional relationships while helping students succeed.
