Job Description
An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to cover a 16-week maternity leave at a retail HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy located in Kissimmee, FL. This contract position begins on August 24 and includes a two-week training period alongside the current pharmacist-in-charge.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense HIV/AIDS specialty medications, ensuring compliance with all regulations and patient safety protocols.
- Provide high-quality patient care and support, including clear communication regarding medication use and potential side effects.
- Engage in consistent, professional communication with both patients and healthcare providers to support treatment plans and resolve issues.
- Maintain punctuality and reliability throughout the assignment.
- Utilize pharmacy software, preferably QS1, for processing prescriptions and managing inventory.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Florida pharmacist license is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Demonstrated experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing must be clearly noted on the resume, even if minimal.
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software highly preferred.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care with excellent communication skills.
- Positive attitude and a dedicated work ethic are essential.
