Make a meaningful impact as an Autism Specialist serving school communities within a 35-mile radius of Medford, OR, encompassing areas like Ashland, Eagle Point, and Grants Pass. This full-time, onsite contract position is an excellent fit for experienced special education professionals who have a deep understanding of Autism across its full spectrum. As an Autism Consultant/Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting K-12 students, local educators, and families, providing expertise, training, and tailored services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience working with students on the Autism spectrum across a variety of grade and age levels
  • Robust background supporting both high-functioning students in general education and those with significant needs in self-contained settings
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Autism evaluations, including assessments to measure student impact
  • Master’s level Special Education Teacher, Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP, Board Certified accepted), or School Psychologist with an active Oregon TSPC license; BCBA credentials considered if accompanied by direct Autism experience and familiarity with public education and special education procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite consultation, coaching, and support to school teams working with students on the Autism spectrum
  • Conduct and interpret comprehensive evaluations, assist with individualized education planning, and deliver evidence-based recommendations
  • Facilitate professional development and hands-on training for teachers and aides to promote best practices
  • Serve as a resource for families, ensuring ongoing communication and support
  • Travel within the assigned radius to service multiple school locations
