Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting student success as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. This full-time assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, serving K-12 learners at an assigned campus in the vibrant area near Burleson, TX. Play an instrumental role in helping students develop essential communication skills in a collaborative school setting.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Current, active Texas SLPA license required
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Comfortable working with a caseload of approximately 60–65 K-12 students
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly valued
- Must complete or verify fingerprints through TEA (allow up to 10 business days)
- Strong ability to collaborate with educational teams and communicate clearly with students and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging speech and language interventions under the supervision of an SLP
- Provide direct and indirect therapy to support students’ communication goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Work effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure holistic care
- Adapt services as needed for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that benefits all students
