Job Description
Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Gastroenterology inpatient team in Toledo, Ohio. Position Highlights

- Role: Full-time Inpatient Gastroenterology APC \n
- Practice Setting: Hospital-based, inpatient consult service \n
- Locations: Coverage across: \n
- St. Vincent Medical Center \n
- St. Charles Hospital \n
- Perrysburg Hospital \n
- Schedule: Daytime inpatient coverage (starting around 7:00 AM) \n
- Call: No call responsibilities \n
- Patient Volume: Approximately 12–15 patients per day \n
- Patient Population: Adult patients \n
- Support: Fully supported inpatient environment with physician collaboration \n
- Teaching Opportunities: Work alongside residents and medical students \n

Key Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Provide inpatient GI consults and follow-up care \n
- Participate in hospital rounds across assigned locations \n
- Coordinate discharges and ongoing care plans \n
- Collaborate with physicians on procedures and patient management \n
- Arrange endoscopy procedures with surgical teams \n
- Review labs, imaging, and prioritize patient needs daily \n
- Ensure continuity of care through documentation and communication \n

Qualifications

- Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) \n
- Experience in Gastroenterology preferred \n
- Strong clinical judgment and team-oriented mindset \n
- Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care \n

A Day in the Life
\nYour day begins reviewing patient lists, labs, and imaging to prioritize care needs. You’ll round independently and alongside physicians, coordinate procedures, and ensure each patient receives thoughtful, timely care.
