Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Experience working or volunteering with school-aged children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting
• Ability to assist with classroom management and student support
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and staff
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability in responding to diverse student needs
• High school diploma or equivalency required; relevant certifications or coursework a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students under the supervision of classroom teachers
• Assist with group and one-on-one instructional activities, adapting materials and assignments as needed
• Support students with special needs or individualized education plans (IEPs) to foster their participation and progress
• Help maintain an organized, safe, and harmonious classroom environment
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, or arrival/dismissal times, ensuring their wellbeing
• Contribute to a respectful, culturally responsive atmosphere that encourages student growth
