Special Education Teacher in Conroe, TX

You’ll be working one-on-one with a 3rd grade Life Skills student in a homebound capacity, ensuring specialized attention and individualized learning, starting as soon as possible.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Texas Special Education Teacher certification, or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Experience working with elementary students, preferably in a Life Skills or special education setting.
• Strong understanding of instructional strategies, IEP implementation, and academic adaptation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create supportive partnerships with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 4 hours per week of direct, 1:1 instructional services to a homebound student, along with 2 hours per week designated for compensatory instruction.
• Develop and deliver engaging, personalized lesson plans aligned with the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
• Collaborate with school staff and family members to evaluate student progress and adjust educational strategies as needed.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation as required by district and state guidelines.
• Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment during all on-site visits.
