This contract position, beginning September 8, 2026, and continuing through June 10, 2027, offers 32.5 scheduled hours per week, Monday through Friday. The current openings span a variety of environments at an elementary school—choose your focus from resource programming, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase programming, or Ready Set LAUNCH centerbase programming according to your interest and background.

Qualifications:

  • Highly qualified Paraprofessional status is required by ONE of the following:
    • Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam
    • OR at least 60 college credits (official transcripts needed)
  • Experience or genuine enthusiasm for working with children and students with unique needs
  • Willingness to assist with all aspects of student care, including toileting if necessary
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow individualized education plans and behavioral strategies

  • Provide support to classroom teachers and special education teams

  • Adapt activities and offer guidance based on student needs
  • Uphold the school’s standards for dignity, respect, and confidentiality
  • Support daily routines—including personal care tasks as needed
