Inpatient Pharmacist

Soliant is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a travel opportunity at a major Level I Trauma Center in New Haven. Candidates with strong inpatient experience and exposure to pediatric and women’s health are encouraged to apply - you may be placed in a clinical or operational role based on your experience and competency.

Position Details

• Assignment: Travel contract
• Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts
• Shift: Days/evenings based on department needs
• Training/Orientation: 16 non-billable hours
• Technology: EPIC, Pyxis
• No local candidates within 75 miles

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pharmacy services within the hospital and Children’s Hospital
• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Provide clinical pharmacy support in pediatric and/or women’s health areas as appropriate
• Support operational pharmacy functions within the dispensing pharmacy
• Assist with sterile processing and pharmacy operations based on experience and competency
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure safe and accurate medication distribution and patient care

Requirements

• Active Connecticut Pharmacist License required
• Connecticut temporary pharmacist license accepted
• Minimum 3 years of pharmacist experience
• Candidates without PGY1 residency training must have 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
• Some experience/exposure to pediatric and women's health pharmacy required
• Ability to work 5x8-hour day/evening shifts based on department needs
• EPIC and Pyxis experience required

Connecticut offers a temporary pharmacist license that can be obtained in approximately 7-10 business days, making this a great option for qualified travelers who are not currently licensed in CT.
