Step into an impactful role supporting students ages 3 to 21 as a contract-based Occupational Therapist serving a cluster of schools on the southwest side of the Houston metropolitan area. This full-time opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, and offers an engaging schedule—37.5 hours per week—where your expertise shapes successful educational outcomes.

Utilize the district office as a home base, traveling within a thoughtfully assigned zone (6–7 schools) matched to your ZIP code. Work closely with students needing both direct services and consults, with direct caseloads typically ranging up to 40 students and consultative responsibilities for others. You'll be instrumental in performing evaluations, developing treatment plans, and attending ARDs, all while maintaining thorough documentation using SHARES and Onward software, and a personalized Excel log for IEPs.

Ideal candidates will bring strong school-based or pediatric OT experience—seasoned COTAs with multiple years in school settings are also welcome to apply. Please note, no COTA support is provided; as the lead OT, you will own the caseload and documentation responsibilities.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Texas
• Experience conducting school-based pediatric OT services
• Proficiency with IEP documentation, reports, and relevant software
• Ability to travel between assigned schools with reliable transportation
• State fingerprinting and background check required before start
• Must not be a former employee of the district or have prior district terminations; an affidavit is required
