Open Positions:
- Self-Contained / PRTF (Grades 6-12): Support a small group of 8-10 students in a specialized, in-person middle-high school setting.
- Elementary Resource Teacher (Grades 3-5): Work with 12-15 students, providing targeted resource support at the elementary level.
Both positions are full-time, 37.5 hours per week, and extend through June 11, 2027. Instruction will be in-person only, and immediate start dates are available.
What we’re seeking:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Previous classroom experience working with students with diverse needs
- Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility and creativity in instructional strategies
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom culture
- Ability to manage and document student progress effectively
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver differentiated lessons based on students’ IEPs
- Modify curriculum and instructional materials to meet individualized needs
- Assess and track student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Partner with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
