Special Education Teacher | Maple Grove, Minnesota

Experience an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact as a Special Education Resource Teacher in an elementary setting. This onsite contract position is ideal for educators with a passion for special education, committed to supporting students’ individualized learning goals in a dynamic school environment. The assignment begins late August 2026 and continues through early June 2027, offering stable and fulfilling work throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification—Tier 3 or Tier 4 required (please attach with your application).
• Prior experience working as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with elementary-aged students.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families.
• Adaptability and patience when supporting a diverse caseload and meeting various learning needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily instruction and support to elementary students receiving special education services.
• Assess student abilities, monitor progress, and use data-driven strategies to inform instruction.
• Develop, document, and update IEPs with measurable goals in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Provide consultative support to general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented.
• Maintain consistent records and comply with all state and federal regulations governing special education.
