General Summary:
\nThe ARNP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:
\n- \n
- Performs physical examinations of hospital patients including, but not limited to: new patient visits, pre & post-operative care, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding and discharging of patients per hospital protocol \n
- Provides assistance during procedures when requested \n
- Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc \n
- Monitors the patients course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed \n
- Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff \n
- Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth \n
Knowledge and Skills Required:
\n- \n
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public. \n
- Strong communication skills \n
- Ability to handle a high volume of patients in an inpatient setting \n
- Position requires a 7 on/7 off work schedule with daily hours for Nocturnist shift TBD \n
- Candidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen \n

Required Education/Experience:
\n- \n
- Masters degree in Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies \n
Preferred Education/Experience:
\n- \n
- Previous Internal Medicine or Hospitalist experience is required 1 -2 years \n
- Prefer 2 years of inpatient based medicine, preferably in Internal Medicine \n
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
\n- \n
- Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license (or eligibility) required \n
- Current, valid DEA license \n
- ANCC (or equivalent) or PANCE Certification (or eligibility) required \n
- Current BLS and ACLS required \n
