Hours: Full-Time Days, 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours each)

Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality nursing services by collaborating with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, all while fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere. You will serve as a key liaison among patients, families, providers, and other team members. This role involves:

  • Engaging in performance improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining professional competence
  • Supporting the development of others
  • Upholding confidentiality, safety, and professional standards
  • Participating in Shared Governance through council involvement or sponsored activities
Core Responsibilities
  • Patient Care and Coordination: Monitor, assess, and evaluate patient conditions. Assist in developing care plans and take appropriate actions to enhance patient outcomes and well-being. Deliver care as outlined, using independent judgment when necessary. Collaborate and communicate care plans with relevant staff. Ensure optimal patient flow and experience while adhering to policies and procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, changes in condition, care provided, education delivered, and any incidents related to care standards.
  • Patient Advocacy and Satisfaction: Actively listen to patient concerns, delve deeper to understand their needs, and respond promptly. Serve as an educational resource for patients and families regarding health issues. Relay essential patient information to families, licensed providers, and other staff. Embrace patient- and family-centered care to enhance satisfaction for patients, families, staff, and physicians. Prioritize actions based on patient needs and contribute to care plans by reporting relevant information while adhering to confidentiality standards.
  • Performance Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the work environment and processes. Offer ideas for solutions and support the implementation of changes. Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving patient quality outcomes, satisfaction, staff morale, and organizational financial performance.
  • Professional Competency and Growth: Maintain necessary licenses and certifications. Complete all required training. Proactively seek and manage training and development opportunities. Engage with professional organizations and stay updated on research and best practices. Pursue opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
  • Professional Leadership: Mentor and support the development of fellow nurses. Foster a positive and encouraging work environment. Adhere to confidentiality, safety, and professional standards. Demonstrate professionalism, embrace shared governance principles, and act with integrity. Hold yourself and others accountable through participation in peer feedback processes. Advocate for the nursing profession and assist in recruiting new nurses.
Additional Duties

Perform other assigned tasks and comply with all organizational policies, work standards, and code of conduct.

Qualifications
  • Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Required Licenses and Certifications: All certifications must be obtained upon hire unless stated otherwise:
    • BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - American Red Cross Basic Life Support
    • RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - Multi-state Compact RN
