Social Worker / Therapist

Location: Norfolk,VA
Job Type: Full-Time
Setting: Intensive Outpatient & Partial Hospitalization
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy.

  • Manage an assigned client caseload and monitor progress.

  • Facilitate specialized therapeutic groups.

  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and referral sources.

  • Complete clinical documentation, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.

  • Coordinate client care from admission through discharge.

  • Participate in clinical and case consultation meetings.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field.

  • Active clinical or associate-level license in Virginia.

  • Accepted credentials include LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with clients with primary mental health diagnoses.

  • Experience working in PHP and/or IOP settings required.

  • Group therapy experience required.

  • Proficiency in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

  • Strong communication, clinical assessment, and crisis intervention skills.
