This full-time, contract opportunity focuses on empowering middle and high school students through both resource and co-teaching models. You'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners, providing tailored support to a caseload of 18–22 students and collaborating closely with general education teachers.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-required)
  • Experience with middle and/or high school students
  • Proficient in resource room and co-teaching strategies
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Familiarity with various learning differences and differentiated instruction methods
  • Passion for fostering inclusion within classroom settings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and adapt lesson plans to meet students’ unique learning needs
  • Deliver instruction in both resource and inclusive classroom environments
  • Case manage IEPs and maintain accurate progress reports for assigned students
  • Support positive student behavior and encourage academic growth
  • Engage with faculty, families, and specialists to maximize student outcomes
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and school-based teams
