Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-required)
- Experience with middle and/or high school students
- Proficient in resource room and co-teaching strategies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Familiarity with various learning differences and differentiated instruction methods
- Passion for fostering inclusion within classroom settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and adapt lesson plans to meet students’ unique learning needs
- Deliver instruction in both resource and inclusive classroom environments
- Case manage IEPs and maintain accurate progress reports for assigned students
- Support positive student behavior and encourage academic growth
- Engage with faculty, families, and specialists to maximize student outcomes
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and school-based teams
