Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in the San Juan Capistrano area as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Contribute your expertise across a range of campuses, including preschool, elementary, and middle school settings, each offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact with varied age groups. This assignment covers three leave-of-absence positions, with an average caseload of approximately 55 students per SLP. The start dates vary, and there’s a strong possibility of extending through the end of the school year, with future opportunities available within this supportive environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active California SLP License
  • Experience in school settings preferred, particularly with diverse student populations
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt and manage multiple school assignments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders within a school context
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Provide therapy sessions for students in preschool, elementary, and middle school campuses
  • Maintain clear, thorough records and progress reports
  • Consult and collaborate with families, educators, and other specialists to support student success
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to school-based teams
