BG Staffing is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Technician to support a premier property in Highland Park, IL 60035. We are looking for a hands-on professional with proven experience in plumbing repairs, window operators, door closers, range hoods, caulking, and wall repairs.

Position Overview
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks throughout the property. The ideal candidate will have experience working with building systems and components and possess the ability to complete repairs efficiently, safely, and professionally.
Your knowledge and expertise will contribute directly to the overall appearance, functionality, and success of the property while ensuring a positive experience for residents and tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing repairs, including faucets, fixtures, drains, toilets, and minor piping repairs.
- Repair, replace, and adjust window operators and associated hardware.
- Install, troubleshoot, and service door closers and door hardware.
- Diagnose and repair range hoods and related components.
- Complete caulking and sealing projects to help maintain the building envelope and prevent water intrusion.
- Repair and patch drywall and walls to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
- Assist with general building maintenance and repair projects as assigned.
- Maintain organized work areas and follow all company safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding maintenance issues and project updates.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance technician experience required.
- Strong hands-on experience with plumbing repairs.
- Experience repairing and replacing window operators.
- Knowledge of door closer installation, adjustment, and repair.
- Familiarity with range hood maintenance and repairs.
- Experience with caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing techniques.
- Drywall patching and wall repair experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage priorities.
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
