Position Overview:

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for conducting ultrasound procedures and techniques to generate diagnostic images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. This role involves providing compassionate and timely direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and confidentiality of all relevant patient, laboratory, and procedural information.
  • Possess knowledge of workflows, procedures, and processes related to imaging modalities.
  • Manage patient documentation, prepare for procedures, and provide instructions.
  • Record sonographer impressions and communicate findings to the physician.
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives and assist in training new staff members.
Educational Requirements:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited allied health training program in Ultrasound (mandatory).
Licensure and Certification:
  • Certification in Ultrasound technology from one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Sonographer from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred, or must obtain within 2 years).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required before providing direct patient care).
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics/Gynecology (preferred).
Experience:
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist (preferred).
  • Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (preferred).
  • Experience with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) (preferred).
Compensation:

Minimum: $45.00 | Maximum: $45.00
