Your role will involve:
- Communicating with and advising patients based on physician directives and dietary guidelines.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
- Assessing referral orders to ensure adequate nutrition intake methods.
- Documenting relevant information in patient medical records in accordance with established protocols.
- Implementing nutritional care plans, modifying menus, and assisting patients with specific dietary requirements.
- Conducting calorie counts and providing suitable recommendations.
- Reviewing, updating, and approving menus for nutritional adequacy.
- Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
- State licensure is mandatory.
- Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a focus on Food & Nutrition.
- Preferred one year of experience in Clinical Dietetics.
