Position OverviewThe Loss Prevention & Safety Associate (LPA) is responsible for protecting associates, assets, and company property while promoting a safety-first culture. This role supports facility security operations, accident prevention initiatives, loss prevention efforts, and emergency response procedures within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain professionalism while handling sensitive situations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & SecurityPromote and maintain a safe work environment throughout the facility.
Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
Monitor and enforce company safety and security procedures.
Conduct Code 50 screening procedures for associates, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
Administer access control and visitor management processes.
Perform guard shack operations, including trailer check-in and check-out procedures.
Conduct security patrols of the building, trailer yard, parking areas, and perimeter.
Monitor CCTV systems and security equipment.
Identify and report security concerns and safety violations.
Support theft prevention and shrink reduction initiatives.
Assist with investigations involving theft, policy violations, workplace incidents, and other security matters.
Document incidents and communicate findings appropriately.
Utilize technology, data, and security systems to support investigations and operational goals.
Respond to incidents and emergency situations as directed.
Assist with emergency preparedness procedures and drills.
Coordinate with police, fire, and emergency personnel when necessary.
Support Loss Prevention leadership with incident follow-up and reporting.
Partner with department leaders to address safety and security concerns.
Communicate effectively with associates, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
Promote a positive and professional team environment.
Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing company policies.
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to operate security systems, access control technology, CCTV, and two-way radios.
Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and overtime as needed.
Ability to complete required training within 90 days of hire.
Previous experience in Loss Prevention, Security, Safety, Law Enforcement, Military, or Warehouse Operations.
Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and workplace safety practices.
Experience with access control systems, Smartsheets, or related software.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete flooring.
Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
Consistent attendance and punctuality are required.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $22.69 per hour
