Job Description
Indiana University Health Medical Group in collaboration with Indiana University School of Medicine is recruiting a palliative medicine physician to join our well established interdisciplinary palliative care team at the Adult Academic Health Center in Indianapolis, IN. This faculty position offers a blend of inpatient and outpatient clinical practice with teaching and mentorship in a nationally recognized academic institution. Key clinical responsibilities including providing comprehensive symptom management and support for patients with serious illness and their families, facilitate discussions towards goal-concordant care, and complex medical decision making.
\n Position Details:
\n * Faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor
\n * Blend of inpatient consultative palliative care with average census of 25-30 visits per week and outpatient practice with 4-6 patients per clinic session
\n * Participate in shared call and clinical coverage responsibilities
\n * Engagement in our education mission is expected. Scholarship, quality improvement, and program development is encouraged and supported based on individual interests and professional development goals

Qualifications:
\n * MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
\n * HPM Fellowship trained
\n * Board Certified or Board eligible in HPM
\n * Interest in teaching, mentorship, and academic medicine
\n * Strong communication and relationship-building skills
