Physical Therapist - School Setting in Elgin, IL

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing educationally focused physical therapy for students in a supportive school environment near Elgin, IL. In this onsite role, you’ll deliver specialized services for a diverse caseload that includes a substantial group of transition-aged students (20–22 years old) as well as mixed grade levels. The assignment covers a short-term leave, running from August 17 through November 4, offering a meaningful way to make a difference during a critical time in the academic year.

Your expertise in pediatric and school-based therapy will be essential as you help students acquire or compensate for deficits in gross motor skills, working collaboratively with school staff to ensure the best outcomes for every student.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Physical Therapy License
• Pediatric physical therapy experience
• Previous experience delivering PT services in a school setting

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, educationally related physical therapy services to students in special education
• Assess and address motor deficits and implement strategies to support student independence and classroom participation
• Document progress, update goals, and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Collaborate with classroom staff to promote generalization of motor skills
• Communicate effectively with families, teachers, and related service personnel
