Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or teacher’s aide in a school setting.

  • Understanding of basic classroom management techniques.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to assist in different classrooms or with various teachers as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant coursework or certification a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers with daily instructional activities and student engagement.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students as directed.
  • Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) where applicable.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Supervise students during class activities, lunch, recess, and transitions between activities.
  • Help prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources.
  • Monitor student behavior and report observations to the appropriate staff.
