Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist. This position will offer you the chance to make a meaningful difference for young learners by covering an FMLA leave during the first 12 weeks of the school year, from August 10th through the end of October. You’ll have the support of an assigned Speech-Language Assistant (SLA), which enables service delivery to a larger caseload of approximately 117 students across two elementary sites. Flexibility is at the heart of this role, with openness to both on-site and VOCO (virtual/remote) candidates.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP licensure for schools in Indiana
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience in a school-based SLP setting
- Familiarity with managing large caseloads and collaborating with support staff (SLAs)
- Comfortable providing services both in person and virtually
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to elementary students
- Collaborate closely with the assigned SLA to optimize caseload management and service delivery
- Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives, monitor student progress, and maintain thorough documentation
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and parents
- Adapt to in-person or VOCO service modalities as needed
