Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive educational environment near Minneapolis, MN. Two positions are available—one working with middle school students (grades 5-8) with Setting III academic needs, and another serving elementary students (grades 1-4) who require Setting II/III support. Both roles are rooted in creating a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that helps students thrive.
You’ll maintain a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:15am to 4:15pm, collaborating with dedicated staff and utilizing proven strategies to support student growth. This is a W2 contract position offering a competitive hourly rate ranging from $38–$43, along with a comprehensive benefits package covering health, vision, and dental.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid MN Tier 3 or 4 teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Prior experience working in Setting III classrooms
- Experience with elementary or middle school students (grades 1-8)
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
What You’ll Do:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with a range of academic and behavioral needs
- Develop, adapt, and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum modifications
