This itinerant position allows you to engage with students in diverse educational settings, offering a dynamic experience for both seasoned professionals and those newer to the field. Part-time applicants will also be considered, providing added flexibility for those balancing other commitments or portfolios.

What You'll Bring:

  • Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or equivalent credentials
  • Experience working with DHH students in school settings (PK-12 preferred)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, working well with multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfort and adaptability traveling between educational sites across Bond, Fayette, and Montgomery counties
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Dedication to fostering inclusion and advocating for student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative instruction to DHH students, adapting strategies for a range of learning styles and needs
  • Support classroom teachers and school staff in best practices for DHH instruction and accommodations
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress, participating in IEP meetings and evaluation processes
  • Serve as a resource for families, empowering them to support their child's learning journey
  • Maintain organized schedules and clear documentation across multiple sites
