Job Description
Make a difference supporting students from Pre-K through elementary grades in a contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist. Using your expertise, you’ll partner with educators and families to enhance student success in an inclusive and culturally responsive environment. This role involves working with three schools in the Marysville area, with your schedule determined as the school year begins. Be instrumental in shaping and implementing effective OT programming, participating in IEPs, and supporting a variety of student needs.
What you’ll bring:
- Current (or eligibility for) Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong understanding of implicit bias, anti-racist practices, and culturally responsive teaching
- Experience or knowledge of trauma-informed approaches
- Proficiency in supporting whole child social, emotional, and behavioral development (Tier 1-3)
- Deep familiarity with child development and learning differences
- Commitment to racial equity in instruction, and understanding of laws and policies related to confidentiality, school records, mandated reporting, and Special Education regulations
- Willingness to complete training in restraint/aversive interventions, if not already trained
