Special Education Teacher

Bilingual Therapies is actively seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position with in Winnetka, IL for the 2026–2027 school year. Position Details:

• Location: Winnetka, IL (North Chicago Area)
• School Year: 2026–2027
• Dates: August 27, 2026 – June 11, 2027
• Schedule: Full-time | 35 hours per week | Monday–Friday
• Grade Levels: K–4
• Caseload: Approximately 8–12 students
• Setting: Resource Program with both pull-out instruction and push-in support in general education classrooms
• Student Needs: Academic and social-emotional support
• Position Type: School-Based Contract

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals
• Deliver both pull-out and push-in services in collaboration with general education teachers
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Track student progress and maintain required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required or eligibility to obtain one
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Orton-Gillingham training or certification (e.g., SLANT, Wilson, or Sonday) preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and instructional skills
