Special Education Teacher in Magnolia, TX

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing specialized educational support to a third-grade student in a homebound setting. This role focuses on delivering Life Skills-based instruction, tailored to meet individual needs within an onsite-only model. The assignment will begin as soon as possible and extend through the end of the Extended School Year (ESY), with the option to continue for the full school year from August 12th, 2026 to May 22nd, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in Life Skills or similar settings
• Knowledge of designing and delivering IEP-driven instruction
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with both students and families
• Dedication to creating a supportive, inclusive educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide a total of 6 hours per week of Homebound services, beginning the week of August 17th (4 hours instructional, 2 hours compensatory)
• Plan and implement individualized lesson plans focused on Life Skills and academic goals
• Track student progress, document instructional activities, and communicate updates regularly
• Adapt teaching techniques to align with each student’s unique learning needs
• Maintain compliance with all policies and requirements for onsite instruction
