Job Description
Pay: $23/hr | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP | Contract Opportunity
BG Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Certified Assistant Maintenance Technician to support an apartment community in Houston, TX 77079. This role is ideal for someone with solid maintenance experience who can assist with work orders, apartment turns, HVAC troubleshooting, and general property maintenance while providing excellent service to residents.
Responsibilities- Complete work orders efficiently and professionally
- Assist with skilled maintenance tasks, including:
- HVAC troubleshooting and repair
- Electrical repairs
- Plumbing repairs
- Appliance diagnostics and repair
- Carpentry and general maintenance
- Assist with apartment unit turns and make-ready preparation
- Maintain community grounds, common areas, and amenities
- Respond to resident requests in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist the maintenance team with daily property operations
- Follow all safety, compliance, and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- EPA or HVAC certification required
- Previous apartment maintenance experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and general maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs efficiently
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while also supporting a maintenance team
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
