Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Colorectal Surgery is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practitioner (PA or NP) to join our growing Colorectal surgery team in beautiful Charleston, SC!
\nThis is an outstanding opportunity to practice in a collaborative, high-quality surgical environment focused exclusively on colorectal surgery care.
\nThe Advanced Practitioner will work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient colorectal surgical care across all our facilities concentrating at Roper Hospital and Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital.

- Full-time Advanced Practice Provider opportunity in Colorectal Surgery \n
- Practice focused exclusively on colorectal surgery with special emphasis in robotic surgery \n
- Primary practice locations:\n
- \n
- Roper Hospital and Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital \n
\n - Mix of:\n
- \n
- Inpatient and outpatient care \n
- Hospital rounding \n
- Post-operative management \n
- Operating room responsibilities including first assist duties \n
\n - MondayFriday day shift schedule \n
- Shared rotating weekend call schedule (1:4 APP rotation) \n
- Collaborative team-based environment with highly respected colorectal surgeons \n
- Surgical experience preferred, especially general surgery or colorectal surgery with experience in robotic technology \n
Responsibilities
\n Provide comprehensive care for colorectal surgery patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
\n Conduct pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and management
\n Perform hospital rounds and coordinate continuity of care
\n Assist surgeons during operative procedures as first assist
\n Participate in outpatient clinic visits and patient education
\n Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered care
\n Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
\n Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices
Qualifications
\nRequired:
\n- \n
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner program \n
- Current South Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure \n
- DEA certification or eligibility \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills \n
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
\n
Preferred:
\n Previous surgical experience
\n Experience in general surgery and/or colorectal surgery
\n First assist experience preferred
