Work ScheduleFull-time position with a day shift from 7 AM to 7 PM (United States).
Job OverviewThis role is based at our Paulding campus, recognized with Magnet designation and a 4-star CMS rating for patient satisfaction. The unit consists of 28 beds, primarily focused on post-surgical care, with some telemetry and general medical-surgical responsibilities. This award-winning floor is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, characterized by high empathy and positive energy.
Position SummaryThe RN Clinical Nurse plays a vital role as part of an interdisciplinary team, which includes both licensed and unlicensed caregivers, ensuring that patients, families, and significant others receive personalized, high-quality, and safe care. This position operates within a clinical environment overseen by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported by our Shared Governance Model. The practice framework is guided by our Professional Practice Model and evidence-based research. RN competencies are aligned with these models and reflect our organizational values.
All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and adhere to the nursing practices defined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, implementing the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics established by the American Nurses Association. As part of the patient services team, individuals are expected to advocate for the patient’s voice while adhering to system policies and supporting service excellence goals.

- Utilizes the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver clinical care based on evidence-based practices, employing critical thinking to ensure individualized care and effective coordination.
- Delivers relationship-based, patient-centered care that aligns with specific population characteristics (e.g., age, gender, health conditions), adapting service delivery to respect cultural diversity.
- Engages with patients and their significant others through appropriate methods (e.g., bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds) to keep them informed and focused on their care goals.
- Adheres to current clinical practice standards.

Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care, promoting a professional care delivery model through inclusive interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation.
- Exhibits teamwork by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner that encourages the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
- Participates in performance improvement initiatives, engaging all stakeholders and supporting research to enhance patient care quality.

- Completes all required initial and ongoing competency assessments and mandatory education.
- Acts as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff, fostering a qualified workforce and a healthy work environment.

- Advocates for evidence-based practices and nursing research, participating in value analysis for patient care product evaluation.
- Complies with all organizational policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, ensuring adherence to legal and accreditation standards.
- Engages in data collection and formulates relevant clinical questions to advance evidence-based practice.

- Plans proactively for patient care across the continuum while providing direct care.
- Contributes to the development of protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers and team members to achieve optimal outcomes.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Compliance with all organizational policies, work standards, and the code of conduct is expected.
Qualifications- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT (Multi-state Compact) required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience is required.
