Make an impact in the lives of students as a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing! This contract-based opportunity runs from August 19, 2026, through May 28, 2027, supporting learners near Huntingdon, PA, and ensuring each student receives tailored, high-quality instruction.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver specialized teaching and services guided by each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
  • Craft, execute, and monitor IEP goals specifically designed for students with hearing impairments
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and service teams to foster an inclusive, accessible classroom environment

Qualifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certification (PK–12)
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in school settings
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with hearing technologies, including FM/DM systems, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, and cochlear implants
  • Passion for empowering students and supporting diverse learning needs
