This role offers an opportunity to apply advanced sterile compounding expertise within a clinical pharmacy setting focused on infusion therapy. The position requires a proactive pharmacist to ensure regulatory compliance while supporting patient care and pharmacy operations.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Location:

  • Lake Butler, FL

Duration:

  • 13+ weeks contract to hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately.
  • Perform and oversee sterile compounding of hazardous and non-hazardous preparations following USP <797> and USP <800> standards.
  • Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations to ensure safety and quality.
  • Review medication profiles for allergies, drug interactions, dosing accuracy, and compatibility.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain high standards.
  • Maintain compliance with cleanroom procedures, aseptic techniques, and environmental monitoring.
  • Participate in quality assurance, medication safety initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage compounding, batch records, and regulatory documentation meticulously.
  • Assist with inventory management, controlled substances handling, and overall pharmacy operations.
  • Support development and implementation of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training programs.
  • Engage in staff meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding under USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills to lead pharmacy teams and maintain compliance.
