Step into a rewarding opportunity as an EC Resource Teacher for elementary students in grades K-4. We’re seeking passionate Special Education Teachers who are ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students. With two full-time contract positions available, you’ll support approximately 20 students per caseload, helping to foster growth, learning, and inclusion for those in need of specialized education.
As the academic year begins on August 24th, 2026, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated educational team and engage directly with students on campus. Candidates must be comfortable working with the ECATS IEP system and adaptable to the dynamic environment of elementary K-4 classrooms. Your expertise will contribute to creating a supportive and enriching experience for every learner.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina EC General Curriculum K-12 certification required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher (elementary K-4 preferred)
- Familiarity with the ECATS IEP system
- Strong organizational skills to manage a caseload of approximately 20 students
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work effectively onsite with students and staff
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable educational practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and intervention to students with exceptional needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) using ECATS
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate and timely student records and progress reports
- Engage families as partners in the educational process
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
