Job Description
A retail HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to provide maternity leave coverage for a 16-week contract starting August 24th. This role involves working closely with the current Pharmacy Manager during a two-week training period to ensure a smooth transition.
Location:
- Apopka, FL
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications with a focus on HIV/AIDS specialty prescriptions
- Provide exceptional patient care and support
- Maintain clear and professional communication with patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of prescriptions
- Adhere to pharmacy protocols and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Florida pharmacist license required
- Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- HIV/AIDS medication dispensing experience must be explicitly noted on the resume, regardless of experience level
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software highly preferred; candidates should indicate if they have this experience
- Strong commitment to punctuality and attendance
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills for effective patient and provider communication
