We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused staff hospitalist to join our inpatient care team in Rutherfordton, NC. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to hospitalized patients while collaborating closely with nursing staff, specialists, case management, and hospital leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care for adult patients \n
- Perform admissions, daily rounding, consultations, and discharges \n
- Manage acute and chronic conditions in collaboration with specialists \n
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care plans \n
- Ensure timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) \n
- Adhere to evidence-based guidelines and hospital protocols \n
- Support initiatives aimed at reducing length of stay and readmissions \n
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety programs \n
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards \n
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge planning \n
- Collaborate with primary care providers to ensure smooth transitions of care \n
- Work closely with case management and social services to optimize discharge outcomes \n
\n
Qualifications:\n
- \n
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school \n
- Board certified or board eligible in internal medicine or family medicine \n
- Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted North Carolina medical license \n
- Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills \n
- New graduates and experienced hospitalists encouraged to apply \n
