CNA Post Acute Care (Per diem)

Location: Abilene, KA

Shifts (days, Evenings and Nights (8-hour flexible schedules-per diem shifts)

Pay (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities

Daily Patient Care

  • Hygiene: Help patients bathe, shower, brush teeth, groom, and use the bathroom.

  • Mobility: Transfer patients between beds and wheelchairs, and turn bedridden residents to prevent bedsores.

  • Nutrition: Serve meal trays, feed patients who need help, and track fluid intake.

  • Vitals: Measure blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.

Clinical & Environment Support

  • Observation: Monitor patients for changes in physical or mental status and report issues immediately to nurses.

  • Sanitation: Change soiled bed linens, tidy rooms, and clean equipment to control infection.

  • Documentation: Record vitals, food consumption, and daily care tasks into charts or electronic health record systems.

Qualifications

  • Active Kansas CNA license in good standing

  • Min 1 year Med Surg, LTC or post-acute care experience

  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

  • Experience with adults and geriatric patients.

  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
