Practice as a Pathologist at UPMC in Altoona, PA

Our organization is seeking to hire two community Pathologists for a hospital located in Altoona, PA. While fellowship training in Cytopathology is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement. Candidates must hold AP/CP ABMS Board Certification or be Board Eligible.

Position Highlights

• The surgical pathology department at our facility handles over 13,000 surgical cases and 3,000 non-gynecological cytopathology specimens annually.
• Become part of a dedicated team of two pathologists.
• Access to specialty pathology consultations and services from the academic core pathology team in Pittsburgh.
• Night and weekend on-call duties are shared equally among the team.
• Specialty pathology services offer expertise across various domains, including advanced immunohistochemistry, imaging, and molecular Anatomic pathology.
