Pharmacy Technician - Littleton, Colorado

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Saturday, 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM

This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Pharmacy Technician with retail/outpatient experience, looking to support a Federally Qualified Health Center environment. The role involves directly assisting pharmacists and healthcare providers in delivering high-quality pharmacy services to a diverse and often underserved patient population.

Responsibilities include:

• Entering prescription and patient demographic information accurately into the pharmacy system
• Filling, labeling, packaging, and preparing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
• Processing insurance claims, including Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and 340B eligible prescriptions
• Assisting patients with prescription pick-up, refills, transfers, and addressing medication questions while referring clinical inquiries to the pharmacist
• Managing payment processing and following cash-handling procedures
• Ordering medications, receiving shipments, rotating stock, and maintaining pharmacy inventory
• Removing expired medications and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Assisting with clinic medication and vaccine orders
• Maintaining accurate documentation and safeguarding patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
• Collaborating with providers, nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacists to coordinate patient care
• Delivering compassionate customer service to uninsured and low-income patients

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• 2 to 3 years of pharmacy technician experience highly preferred
• Active and clear Colorado pharmacy technician license
• Certification through PTCB or NHA required
• Experience with EPIC Willow preferred; training available for 1-2 days if needed
